The most important properties of the traffic system is presented. The weakness of the model is pointed out and subsequently rectified. Various estimation and identification techniques, used in the traffic problem, are introduced.</abstract> <abstract language="cze" primary="0">Tento článek se zabývá problémem modelování dopravního proudu a odhadu stavu v historických centrech měst. V článku jsou prezentovány nejdůležitější vlastnosti dopravního systému včetně popisu základních metod identifikačních technik, které jsou použity.
