This matrix is symmetric, uniformly positive definite, can be large but may vary only in a single prescribed direction. Using a homogenization theory for posibly stiff stratified media, a relaxation theory is developed and, in a special case, differentiability of the extended cost functional is proved and a point-wise maximum principle necessary for an optimal composite is derived.
<RIV>BA</RIV> <department>MTR</department> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0130921</permalink> <ID_orig>UTIA-B 20020048</ID_orig> <arlyear>2002</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0293879 Advances in Mathematical Sciences and Applications 1343-4373 Roč. 12 č. 1 2002 135 150 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
