This problem deals with a long span cable-stayed bridge with two main towers, each one with over hundred cables attached to. First, the paper constructively describes a procedure in which the overall finite element model of the cable-stayed bridge is decomposed into two overlappping subsystems. Then, the effectivness of the consequent overlapping decentralized control design is tested by numerical simulations.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0213013</ARLID> <name>World Conference on Structural Control /3./</name> <place>Como</place> <country>IT</country> <dates>07.04.2002-12.04.2002</dates> </action> <RIV>BC</RIV> <department>AS</department> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0131137</permalink> <ID_orig>UTIA-B 20030037</ID_orig> <arlyear>2003</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU10"> 2003 </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU10"> Chichester Wiley </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU12"> 0-471-48980-8 </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> Proceedings of the Third World Conference on Structural Control 869 874 </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU67"> Casciati F. 340 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
