A non-graphical algebraic approach is presented. The monograph presents the methods of structural imsets and supermodular functions, and deals with independence implication and equivalence of structural imsets. Monografie přináší metody strukturálních imsetů a supemodulárních funkcí, zabývá se nezávislostní implikací a ekvivalencí strukturálních imsetů. Je zahrnuta motivace, matematické základy a oblasti aplikace. Rovněž je obsažen hrubý nástin grafických metod. Elementární matematické pojmy jsou zopakovány v dodatku.
