Operations of such tunnels has to meet specific requirements.To achieve operational requirements, different control approaches can be applied. The city of Prague plans to constuct a new highway tunnel, which is very complex. In order to achieve the best overall results, the designers decided to use modern simulation techniques to develop a simulation model, which will help in designing an optimal tunnel controller. Ve světě se staví celá řada dlouhých dálničních tunelů. Provoz těchto tunelů musí splňovat určité požadavky. Aby jich bylo dosaženo, je možné použít různé řídicí metody. Město Praha plánuje postavit nový dálniční tunel, který velice složitý. Aby bylo dosaženo co nejlepších celkových výsledků, bylo rozhodnuto použít moderní simulační přístupy a vytvořit simulační model, který bude pomáhat při návrhu optimálního řízení tunelu.
