We estimate the local statistical properties of the monospectral version of the BTF texture in the form of a Gaussian mixture of product components. The synthesized texture is obtained by means of a step-wise prediction of the whole fixed view BTF texture subspace. In order to achieve an authentic BTF texture we use optimally chosen pieces of the original BTF for synthesis.</abstract> <abstract language="cze" primary="0">Metoda modelování textur pomocí Gaussovské směsi je zobecněna na případ tzv. hrubé texutry, jejíž vzhled závisí na směru pohledu a směru osvětlení a jejíž základní popis je spojen s velkými nároky na paměť. Vlastnosti textury v černobílé projekci jsou lokálně odhadnuty pomocí distribuční směsi a výsledný statistický model je použit pro syntézu textury metodou postupné predikce.
