The economical focus is reflected by the performance criterion being a combination of the comfort requirements and the monetary cost penalties (price of the consumed hot water and the electricity needed to deliver the water to the building) of the controlled inputs. With this formulation, the optimal controller drives toward minimization of the real price rather than minimization of abstract quantities. It turns out that the NMPC is able to attack the cost minimization directly while retaining a compact optimization formulation as opposed to the suboptimal linear alternative. A considerable part of the superiority of the NMPC can be owed also to the use of a nonlinear model that captures the nonlinear building dynamics much more accurately than the linear models.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0304633</ARLID> <name>The 2014 American Control Conference (ACC‘14)</name> <place>Portland, Oregon</place> <dates>04.06.2014-06.06.2014</dates> <country>US</country> </action> <reportyear>2015</reportyear> <RIV>BC</RIV> <num_of_auth>5</num_of_auth> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0235878</permalink> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0295056</ARLID> <institution>ČVUT</institution> <name>České vysoké učení technické v Praze</name> <country>CZ</country> <unknown tag="mrcbC63-f">Praha 6</unknown> </cooperation> <confidential>S</confidential> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-q">58</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-s">0.503</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-y">18.72</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-x">0.61</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-E">Q2</unknown> <arlyear>2014</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> textový dokument 211 kB </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0429565 Proceedings of the 2014 American Control Conference (ACC‘14) 978-1-4799-3271-9 0743-1619 418 423 Portland IEEE 2014 CFP14ACC-USB </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
