The sensitivity of the EKF to round-off errors is well known, and numerically advantageous implementations based on the square-root decomposition of covariance matrices have been developed to address this issue. However, these techniques have not been applied in the EKF-based sensorless control of ac drives yet. Specific properties of the fixed-point implementation of the EKF for a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive are presented in this paper, and suitability of various square-root algorithms for this case is discussed.
<reportyear>2015</reportyear> <RIV>BC</RIV> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0240502</permalink> <confidential>S</confidential> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-e">AUTOMATIONCONTROLSYSTEMS|ENGINEERINGELECTRICALELECTRONIC|INSTRUMENTSINSTRUMENTATION</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-f">5.078</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-g">0.943</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-h">4.2</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-i">0.04925</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-j">1.241</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-k">17404</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-l">470</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-q">116</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-s">2.075</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-y">30.48</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-x">8.2</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-4">Q1</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-B">88.92</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-C">98.945</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-D">Q1</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-E">Q1*</unknown> <arlyear>2012</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> 000305748500020 WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0253237 IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics 0278-0046 1557-9948 Roč. 59 č. 11 2012 4189 4196 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
