Adaptive feature is necessary due to the fact that unknown disturbance enters in a way that cannot be suppressed by the high gain technique. The developed observers are then applied to a culture of microorganism in a bioreactor, namely, to the model of the continuous culture of Spirulina maxima. It is a common practice that just the biomass (or substrate) concentration is directly measured as the output of the process for monitoring and control purposes. This paper shows both by theoretical analysis and numerical simulation that the mentioned high gain adaptive observers offer a realistic option of online software sensors for substrate estimation.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0321693</ARLID> <name>International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control 2015 (CCE 2015) /12./</name> <dates>28.10.2015-30.10.2015</dates> <place>Mexico-City</place> <country>MX</country> </action> <RIV>BC</RIV> <FORD0>20000</FORD0> <FORD1>20200</FORD1> <FORD2>20204</FORD2> <reportyear>2016</reportyear> <num_of_auth>4</num_of_auth> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0251244</permalink> <confidential>S</confidential> <unknown tag="mrcbC83"> RIV/67985556:_____/15:00449804!RIV16-AV0-67985556 191684609 Doplnění UT WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbC83"> RIV/67985556:_____/15:00449804!RIV16-GA0-67985556 191719696 Doplnění UT WOS </unknown> <arlyear>2015</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> 000456678000063 WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> článek 751 kB </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0449803 Proceedings of the 2015 12th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE) 978-1-4673-7837-6 200 205 Mexico-City IEEE 2015 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
