To overcome the issues caused by the terminal time being an optimizable parameter, two adaptations of the Hamiltonian-based gradient method are proposed. The first algorithm incorporates the terminal time directly into the set of optimized variables while the second one makes use of a time scaling with optimizable time-dependent time scale being a virtual input. Both algorithms are verified on a set of numerical experiments and the obtained results show significant improvement of the penicillin production efficiency gained by their use, which suggests their exploitation within the industrial nonlinear predictive controllers for bioprocess optimization.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0331565</ARLID> <name>The American Control Conference (ACC) 2016</name> <dates>06.07.2016-08.07.2016</dates> <place>Boston</place> <country>US</country> </action> <RIV>BC</RIV> <reportyear>2017</reportyear> <num_of_auth>2</num_of_auth> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0260951</permalink> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0320924</ARLID> <name>Czech Technical University in Prague, Department of Control Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering</name> <institution>CTU FEE</institution> <country>CZ</country> </cooperation> <confidential>S</confidential> <unknown tag="mrcbC86"> 3+4 Proceedings Paper Automation Control Systems </unknown> <arlyear>2016</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> 84992146004 SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> 000388376103095 WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> odborný článek na konferenci 285 kB </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0460757 Proceedings of the Americal Control Conference (ACC), Boston 2016 CFP16ACC-USB 978-1-4673-8681-4 3527 3532 Boston IEEE 2016 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
