This form of control is especially suitable for applications where the system is required to make repeated executions of a finite duration task with resetting to the starting location at the end of each execution. The majority of the theory and designs are for systems described by finite dimensional differential or discrete dynamics but there is increasing interest in the extension to systems described by partial differential equations, where the interest in this paper is in the use of approximate finite dimensional models of the dynamics. The construction of such models studied using a regular hexagonal grid and polar coordinates, with a fourth order partial differential equation as an example. A supporting numerical application study is also given.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0363598</ARLID> <name>The 23rd International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2018)</name> <dates>20180716</dates> <unknown tag="mrcbC20-s">20180720</unknown> <place>Hong Kong University of Science and Technology</place> <country>HK</country> </action> <RIV>BC</RIV> <FORD0>20000</FORD0> <FORD1>20200</FORD1> <FORD2>20201</FORD2> <reportyear>2019</reportyear> <num_of_auth>4</num_of_auth> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0286501</permalink> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0363599</ARLID> <name>Institute of Control and Computation Engineering, University of Zielona Gora</name> <country>PL</country> </cooperation> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0350834</ARLID> <name>Department of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton</name> <country>GB</country> </cooperation> <confidential>S</confidential> <arlyear>2018</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU24"> PUBMED </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> 309 KB </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0492891 Proceedings of the 23rd International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems 659 665 Hong Kong Hong Kong University of Science and Technology 2018 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
