Unlike earlier methods, the blur kernel may be arbitrary oriented, scaled and elongated. Such blurring is a semi-group action in the image space, where the orbits are classes of blur-equivalent images. We propose a non-linear projection operator which extracts blur-insensitive component of the image. The invariants are then formally defined as moments of this component but can be computed directly from the blurred image without an explicit construction of the projections. Image description by the new invariants does not require any prior knowledge of the particular blur kernel shape and does not include any deconvolution. Potential applications are in blur-invariant image recognition and in robust template matching.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0377448</ARLID> <name>Scandinavian Conference on Image Analysis - SCIA'19</name> <dates>20190611</dates> <unknown tag="mrcbC20-s">20190614</unknown> <place>Norkoping</place> <country>SE</country> </action> <RIV>JD</RIV> <FORD0>10000</FORD0> <FORD1>10200</FORD1> <FORD2>10201</FORD2> <reportyear>2020</reportyear> <num_of_auth>4</num_of_auth> <unknown tag="mrcbC52"> 4 A sml 4as 20241106135738.7 </unknown> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0297951</permalink> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0349870</ARLID> <name>University of Oulu</name> <country>FI</country> </cooperation> <confidential>S</confidential> <contract> <name>copyright</name> <date>20190325</date> <note>Consent to publish</note> </contract> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-s">0.295</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-E">Q2</unknown> <arlyear>2019</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbTft"> Soubory v repozitáři: kostkova-0506779-Copyright.pdf </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> 85066914571 SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU24"> PUBMED </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0506785 Image Analysis : 21st Scandinavian Conference, SCIA 2019 978-3-030-20204-0 0302-9743 1611-3349 140 151 Cham Springer 2019 Lecture Notes in Computer Science 11482 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
