In each pixel, the field is assigned to a vector that shows the direction and the magnitude of the quantity, which has been measured. To detect the patterns of interest in the field, special matching methods must be developed. In this paper, we propose a method for the description and matching of vector field patterns under an unknown affine transformation of the field. Unlike digital images, transformations of vector fields act not only on the spatial coordinates but also on the field values, which makes the detection different from the image case. To measure the similarity between the template and the field patch, we propose original invariants with respect to total affine transformation. They are designed from the vector field moments. It is demonstrated by experiments on real data from fluid mechanics that they perform significantly better than potential competitors.
<result_subspec>WOS</result_subspec> <RIV>JD</RIV> <FORD0>10000</FORD0> <FORD1>10200</FORD1> <FORD2>10201</FORD2> <reportyear>2022</reportyear> <num_of_auth>3</num_of_auth> <unknown tag="mrcbC52"> 4 A sml 4as 2rh 20241106135802.3 2 R hod 20250310152145.5 20250310153227.8 </unknown> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0303983</permalink> <confidential>S</confidential> <contract> <name>Copyright Receipt</name> <date>20191102</date> </contract> <unknown tag="mrcbC86"> 3+4 Article Computer Science Artificial Intelligence|Engineering Electrical Electronic </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbC91"> C </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-e">ENGINEERING.ELECTRICAL&amp;ELECTRONIC|COMPUTERSCIENCE.ARTIFICIALINTELLIGENCE</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-f">25.651</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-g">11.881</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-h">8.2</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-i">0.06631</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-j">6.752</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-k">73149</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-q">435</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-s">8.269</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-y">60.86</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-x">19.48</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-3">15519</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-4">Q1</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-5">24.000</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-6">312</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-7">Q1</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-C">99.2</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-D">Q1*</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-E">Q1*</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-M">4.71</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-N">Q1</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-P">99.457</unknown> <arlyear>2021</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbTft"> Soubory v repozitáři: kostkova-0518086.pdf, kostkova-0518086-CopyrightReceipt.pdf </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> 85074863872 SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU24"> 31714215 PUBMED </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> 000626525300003 WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> PDF </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0256725 IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence 0162-8828 1939-3539 Roč. 43 č. 4 2021 1140 1155 IEEE Computer Society </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
