The described method is supposed to be used as a pre-processing stage for a hand gesture recognition application based on ultrasound technology. The approach includes a noise cancellation concept and uses linear Finite Impulse Response (FIR) based regression models in MATLAB environment. Within the algorithm the hypothesis testing technique is implemented. The work shows the results of computation using real data from an ultrasound device.
