With an increasing number of various screening modalities, each analysis built on the acquired dataset starts with the registration of images acquired from different scanners and with varying levels of mutual correspondence. There is currently no well-suited state of the art method for this task. There are many existing approaches, i.e. based on control points or mutual information, but they do not provide satisfying (subpixel) precision, thus the registration is very often realized manually in Adobe Photoshop or any similar tool. Another popular option is to use scanners able to produce registered datasets by design. During the last 10 years, datasets from these devices have extended available analytical techniques the most.
<action target="EUR"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0401102</ARLID> <name>Heritech 2020</name> <dates>20201014</dates> <unknown tag="mrcbC20-s">20201016</unknown> <place>online</place> <country>IT</country> </action> <RIV>JC</RIV> <FORD0>10000</FORD0> <FORD1>10200</FORD1> <FORD2>10201</FORD2> <reportyear>2021</reportyear> <num_of_auth>5</num_of_auth> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0314113</permalink> <unknown tag="mrcbC61"> 1 </unknown> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0340369</ARLID> <name>National Institute of Optics</name> <institution>INO</institution> <country>IT</country> </cooperation> <confidential>S</confidential> <article_num> 012007 </article_num> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-s">0.192</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-E">Q4</unknown> <arlyear>2020</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU02"> C </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU10"> 2020 </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU10"> IOP Publishing </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> 85096834985 SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU24"> PUBMED </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> 000647639100010 WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0536329 International Conference Florence Heri-tech: the Future of Heritage Science and Technologies 2020, Online Edition IOP publishing 2020 Bristol IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering 949 1757-899X </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
