Although it can be easily applied to many conventional models, its main advantages arise when applied to models with multiple strongly coupled dissipation mechanisms, where the direct construction of the coupled yield conditions and flow rules may be challenging. However, this usually requires a more complex numerical treatment of the resulting sequence of time-incremental boundary value problems resolved via the finite element method. This contribution presents, compares and discusses two genuine minimization approaches - the staggered solution procedure relying on alternating minimization and the monolithic approach employing global minimization - for an advanced constitutive model of shape memory alloys.
<action target="EUR"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0457147</ARLID> <name>Computational mechanics 2023 /38./</name> <dates>20231023</dates> <unknown tag="mrcbC20-s">20231025</unknown> <place>Srní</place> <country>CZ</country> </action> <RIV>JG</RIV> <FORD0>20000</FORD0> <FORD1>20300</FORD1> <FORD2>20302</FORD2> <reportyear>2024</reportyear> <num_of_auth>4</num_of_auth> <unknown tag="mrcbC47"> UTIA-B 10000 10100 10101 </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbC52"> 4 A 4a 20231213114025.3 </unknown> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <unknown tag="mrcbC55"> UTIA-B BA </unknown> <inst_support> RVO:61388998 </inst_support> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>https://hdl.handle.net/11104/0349462</permalink> <cooperation> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0296535</ARLID> <name>Ústav teorie informace a automatizace AV ČR</name> <institution>ÚTIA AV ČR</institution> <country>CZ</country> </cooperation> <confidential>S</confidential> <arlyear>2023</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbTft"> Soubory v repozitáři: 0579417_Numerical implementation of incremental minimization_CM23_Frost.pdf </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU24"> PUBMED </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> pdf </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0577231 Computational mechanics 2023.
