At the microscopic scale, feather appearance is dictated by the anisotropic behavior of directional feather parts. At the nanoscale, some species exhibit structural color due to light diffraction on structures comparable in size to the wavelength of light. In this paper, we capture feathers from four different species, analyze various aspects of their appearance, and suggest its efficient modeling approach.
<action target="WRD"> <ARLID>cav_un_auth*0472332</ARLID> <name>CVCS2024: the 12th Colour and Visual Computing Symposium</name> <dates>20240905</dates> <unknown tag="mrcbC20-s">20240906</unknown> <place>Gjøvik</place> <country>NO</country> </action> <RIV>BD</RIV> <FORD0>20000</FORD0> <FORD1>20200</FORD1> <FORD2>20201</FORD2> <reportyear>2025</reportyear> <num_of_auth>3</num_of_auth> <presentation_type> PR </presentation_type> <inst_support> RVO:67985556 </inst_support> <permalink>https://hdl.handle.net/11104/0356117</permalink> <unknown tag="mrcbC61"> 1 </unknown> <confidential>S</confidential> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-s">0.202</unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbT16-E">Q4</unknown> <arlyear>2024</arlyear> <unknown tag="mrcbU14"> 85206391104 SCOPUS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU24"> PUBMED </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU34"> WOS </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU56"> PDF 2 MB </unknown> <unknown tag="mrcbU63"> cav_un_epca*0598135 CEUR Workshop Proceedings : CVCS2024- the 12th Colour and Visual Computing Symposium CEUR-WS 2024 Aachen CEUR Workshop Proceedings 3766 1613-0073 </unknown> </cas_special> </bibitem>
