The trianeal biggest congress IFAC was held under the flagship event of the Federation. The sixteenth one took place in the Prague Congress center from 3rd till 8th July 2005. Having overall attendance of almost two thousand and half participants from 63 countries, this definitely was the largest and the most successful event in automatic control ever. Despite of its size, the Congress was running smoothly thanks to the organizing team lead by the Congress General Chair M. Sebek. |

16. světový kongres byl nejúspěšnější a největší akcí v dějinách oboru. Bylo předneseno přes 250 referátů, které byly vybrány z více než 3500 zaslaných článků. Hlavním organizátorem kongersu byl Michael Šebek, mezinárodní programový výbor řídil P. Horáček a kongres dovršil úspěšné tříleté působení V. Kučery ve funkci presidenta IFAC. V rámci kongresu se konala Letní škola pro doktorandy (70 doktorandů z celého světa) a seminář IFAC pro studenty a učitele středních škol (40 středoškoláků a jejich učitelů). |
