abstract (eng) Micromagnetics is a continuum variational theory describing magnetization pattern in ferromagnetic media. Its multiscale nature due to different inherent spatio-temporal physical and geometric scales, together with nonlocal phenomena and a nonconvex side-constraint leads to rich behavior and pattern fromation. This variety of effects is also reason for severe problems in analysis, model validation and reductions, and numerics, which have only recently been accessed and are reviewed in this work.
abstract (cze) Práce je přehledovým článkem mapujíci současné problémy v modelování, analýze a numerice ferromagnetismu. Problem je víceškálový, což spolu s dalšími fyzikálními omezeními prináší mnoho matematických problému.
