Newly introduced TNM classification includes cases with thyroid tumor size 0-2cm into one class. After processing of data of nearly 8000 patients, it was observed that above 1cm of size, risk of metastases increases compared to smaller tumors, and another treatment strategy must be accepted. We propose finer classification of tumor sizes. |

Nově zavedená TNM klasifikace zahrnuje nádory štítné žlázy o velikost 0-2cm do jedné třídy. Po zpracování dat asi 8000 pacientů jsme zjistili, že nádory větší než 1cm mají větší pravděpodobnost metastáz ve srovnání s menšími nádory, čemuž je třeba přizpůsobit léčbu. Navrhujeme jemnější klasifikaci velikostí nádorů. |
