The symmetric factorization is a mathematical and computional procedure constituting a key part of the linear-quadratic optimization respecting causality. This method of optimization dates back to Wiener [1], for filtering radar signals. Later it was broadly used in data processing and control [2], [3]. For 1-D systems, several algorithms for symmetric factorization are known [4], the numerical experiences are good. |

Symetrická faktorizace je matematická a výpočetní procedura tvořící klíčovou část lineární kvadratické optimalizace s ohledem na kausalitu. Tuto metodu optimalizace užil N.Wiener pro filtrování radarového signálu. Následně byla široce používána pro zpracování dat a obrazů. V případě 1-D systémů je známo mnoho algoritmů pro symetrickou faktorizaci s dobrými numerickými výsledky. Speciální příklady faktorizace 2-D systémů jsou uvedeny v tomto článku |
