abstract (eng) We propose a new non-linear reflectance model, based on a Lafortune reflectance model improvement, which restores all BTF database images independently for each view position and herewith significantly reduces stored BTF data size. The extension consists in introducing several spectral parameters for each BTF image which are linearly estimated in the second estimation step according to the original data. The method is easily implementable in a graphical hardware for purpose of real-time rendering.
abstract (cze) Modelování hrubých textur pracuje s ohromným obrazovým prostorem - dvojsměrovou texturní funkcí (BTF). Tato 6ti dimenzionální funkce závisí na planárních texturních souřadnicích a na úhlech osvětlení a pohledu. Navrhujeme nový nelineární reflektanční model, který představuje zlepšení Lafortunova reflektančního modelu. Model restauruje všechny obrazy BTF databáze nezávisle pro každý úhel pohledu a tím výrazně redukuje velikost BTF prostoru. Tato metoda dovoluje dosáhnout kompresi BTF dat 1:15
