An overview of the world's worst ever chemical and nuclear disasters is presented. The main reasons and consequences are summarized and the drawbacks in subsequent crisis management are pointed out. The role of advanced software support tool for identification and reliable prediction of accident evolution is described. The contribution of the grant results achieved in UTIA in the field of data assimilation is illustrated. |

Jsou zmíněny některé těžké havárie v oblasti chemického průmyslu a jaderné energetiky. Je podán přehled o hlavních příčinách nehod a jejich následcích. Jsou zdůrazněny základní nedostatky krizového řízení při těchto nehodách. V návaznosti je popisována základní úloha programových prostředků jako nástrojů pro podporu krizového řízení. Je ilustrován příspěvek prací pro oblast asiímilace modelových předpovědí s měřeními v terénu prováděných v ÚTIA v rámci poskytnutého grantu. |
