abstract (eng) The steady increase of the amount of information gathered by remote sensing systems makes the developement of highly efficient algorithms to reduce the data volume even more important. We compare recently developed and highly effective feature selection algorithms with approaches based on evolutionary algorithms enabling parallel feature subset selection. We investigated SAR (synthetic aperture radar) dataset.
