Vague quantitative data are modeled by means of fuzzy subsets of n-ary R. We restrict this overview to the case n = 1 only. Among several possible approaches to fuzzy quantitative data, mostly fuzzy quantities which are upper semi-continuous normal convex fuzzy subsets of R are discussed and applied. |
