abstract (eng) This paper simplifies and clarifies the conditions of the Theorem of Morris concerning asymptotics of the Pearson and loglikelihood ratio statistics under local alternatives. The condition on local character of alternatives is simplified and given in term of the Pearson divergence. Moreover, the theorem is exteded to a large class of disparity statistics. The paper is restricted to the important particular case where the partition cells are equiprobale under the hypothesis.
