Recently, a new mesoscopical model describing evolution of the magnetization in ferromagnets has been proposed. Here a corresponding time-discrete relaxed variational problem is studied. First, necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are derived and the uniqueness of a time-discrete solution is shown. Then the optimality conditions are used in an efficient numerical algorithm for a simulation of magnetic hysteresis in single crystals and polycrystals. |
