abstract (eng) An observer for nonlinear systems with delayed measurements is proposed. The design method is based on computation of a certain manifold de ned as a solution of a partial di erential equation. This equation is solved using nite-element method. Conditions for existence of a solution are given. Viability of the proposed approach is demonstrated by an example.
