abstract (eng) The present work describes a new approach to hand detection based on QRD Recursive Least Squares (RLS) Lattice algorithm and probabilistic approach to system identification. The described method is supposed to be used as a pre-processing stage for a hand gesture recognition application based on ultrasound technology. The approach includes a noise cancellation concept and uses linear Finite Impulse Response (FIR) based regression models in MATLAB environment. Within the algorithm the hypothesis testing technique is implemented. The work shows the results of computation using real data from an ultrasound device. The final version of the algorithm is supposed to be implemented on the embedded Xilinx Zynq device.
