In last years wherewith along by more talks about portal technologies. Introduce to the bigger commercial institution. About it, that not only in commercial spheres, but also in academic environment will find portal his place. This article describes reasons and process of implementation portal technology on University of Ostrava. Before implementation any technology we have to ask a question about security risks, also portal technologies aren't reserve therefore last part of article deal with security problems.
