Description:
Abstract: Over the last fifteen years our group at the University of Granada has been working on the use of the Bayesian paradigm to restore and reconstruct images. In this talk we will examine how the Bayesian paradigm can be used, to among others, address the following problems: image restoration (with some emphasis on astronomical applications), removal of blocking artifacts in compressed images, blind image restoration, image demosaicking, super resolution of images, video, and multispectral images, and reconstruction of SPECT images.
