Abstract. This talk considers the speakers experiences with the GUHA method in general and the Lisp Miner software in particular. We describe in detail a research project where the aim was to construct a model to predict travel ime between two Finnish cities. The other case study comes from the realm on sports medicine. The theoretical part demonstrates research we are dealing with at the moment: (a) the relation between mathematical fuzzy logic and GUHA quantifiers and (b) data compressing in LISp Miner software - this research is still in progress.
