Anotation:
The paper focuses on the design of a suboptimal fault-tolerant dual controller for stochastic discrete-time systems. Firstly a general formulation of the active fault detection and control problem that covers several special cases is presented. One of the special cases, a dual control problem, is then considered throughout the rest of the paper. It is stressed that the designed dual controller can be regarded as a fault-tolerant dual controller in the context of fault detection. Due to infeasibility of the optimal fault-tolerant dual controller for general nonlinear system, a suboptimal fault-tolerant dual controller based on rolling horizon technique for jump Markov linear Gaussian system is proposed and illustrated by means of a numerical example.
